A CHURCH THAT STANDS ON TRUTH

Welcome new visitors to The Bridge Church.

MINISTRIES

Get In The Kid Zone

An exciting learning experience is ready for children to experience each Sunday morning. An attended nursery is provided for infants through 3 years old. Children ages 3 through 5th grade begin worship with the church family and then explore the scriptures with games, crafts, songs, and stories. Classes are held in the Fellowship Hall.

Since September 9, 2012 I have the pleasure to serve as Pastor at VPC. My previous service includes Student Pastor at New Jersey Presbyterian in Carlisle Ohio 1994-1997; Interim Director of Christian Education at Crestview Presbyterian in Cincinnati Ohio 1997; Ordained as Interim Pastor at Mt. Pleasant (Monroe) Presbyterian Church 1998-1999; Designated Pastor Grace Community Church in Maineville Ohio 2000-2002; Solo Pastor at St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Middletown Ohio 2003-2011.

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan I was raised by a faithful family and attended Calvary Undenominational Church. Within this church opportunities for mission service began in high school through my piano playing and teaching in our inner city children’s outreach program and two mission experiences sponsored by the church: 1976 to Mexico with Wycliffe Bible Translators and 1978 to Belguim with United World Mission. Preparing to go on the mission field, I attended Western Michigan University with a major in vocal music education, piano and elementary education minors. During this time I encountered my husband, John, (a Presbyterian!) and served as a church choir director and K-12 vocal music teacher immediately following graduation.

My husband’s job brought us to Dayton Ohio in 1983 shortly after my son James had been born. During our time at Southminster Presbyterian Church I had the opportunity to co-author a children’s ministry curriculum as we were moving to include children in worship. In 1990 John’s job moved to Cincinnati so we relocated into our current Loveland home where our two sons, James and Jeff enjoyed a childhood filled with stability as I entered seminary and John continued moving within Key Bank.
At this time I am enjoying being a new grandmother to James and wife, Julia’s son, Quincy born in July 2013. John has a new job with PNC Bank.

My passion lies within small church ministry, especially with outreach to children and youth. It is so much fun to wander over and visit with the preschool children and be involved with all generations.
